Six launch theatres

Hell Let Loose: Vietnam launches with six large-scale maps based on real-world locations. They range far beyond dense jungle — expect river systems, farmland, airfields, industrial docks, urban areas and coastline.

Map design philosophy

Every battlefield begins with historical research, then is adapted for large-scale play. Rivers may be reshaped to fit patrol boats, terrain adjusted for vehicle movement, and capture points placed to encourage good fights. Authenticity is balanced against playability.

Notable theatres

  • Thanh Hóa Bridge — the Open Beta map; the bridge is a natural focal point without becoming a pure bottleneck.
  • Đắk Tô Airfield — a wide, exposed runway that punishes unsupported crossings; smoke and suppression are essential.
  • Dockside — large open areas and waterways built around vehicles and logistics.

What's next

The team has named Huế and Hạ Long Bay as locations being explored for future content. Night maps are not at launch, but night combat systems (flares, floodlights) are being experimented with.
